OUR PLANS MULTIPLIED

In the beginning, JD adamantly only wanted two children. I thought that four would be perfect. Once we caught God's vision of putting orphans into families, our plan was multiplied by God. We are currently blessed with 12 children; five biological, six adopted and one more waiting in Ethiopia. Our first adoption was from the U.S., the next three were from Liberia, West Africa, and our last two were from Ethiopia. We are supporting our 12th child in Ethiopia after her adoption could not pass court.

Can't Do Everything

I got two bookcases cleaned out today - I have about three more to go. Here's the worst one's before shot -

And the after -

The next thing on my list was laundry. I did NOT get that done. Well, technically I did several loads, I just haven't folded any of them. (I am definitely not one of those fold when the dryer goes off people - in fact, I turn the buzzers off.)

It'll still be there tomorrow - it's just going to have to move to the floor so we can sleep!

  1. Oh girl! You & me and our laundry piles! Did you see mine recently on FB? I am the same way. I can wash/dry all day long, but I hate folding & putting away.

  2. Say this out loud 3 times....kids can fold clothes, kids can fold clothes, kids can fold clothes!
Boys and girls have seperate dirty bins, so the get washed seperate, the the chosen boy of the month folds and puts away all boys stuff, same with girls. I only do the stuff that hangs up. I leave pj and playclothes in the basket, and kill the boy/girl of the month. ANd if it's sloppy--they do it over! Delegate girl!!=)

  4. Love the 'after' version of the bookcase! I have no issues washing or drying clothes. I can even put them up (or have the kids do that.) It's the folding part that I have to really focus on doing when the clothes are done (and not a few days later as the pile increases!)
