OUR PLANS MULTIPLIED

In the beginning, JD adamantly only wanted two children. I thought that four would be perfect. Once we caught God's vision of putting orphans into families, our plan was multiplied by God. We are currently blessed with 12 children; five biological, six adopted and one more waiting in Ethiopia. Our first adoption was from the U.S., the next three were from Liberia, West Africa, and our last two were from Ethiopia. We are supporting our 12th child in Ethiopia after her adoption could not pass court.

Back to DC

JD and I went back to DC for 1.5 days for our anniversary. We attended the traveling production of CS Lewis' "The Great Divorce" (CSLewisonstage.com). It was really, really good - done by a Christian production company that works on Broadway. Now I want to see the "Screwtape Letters" which came out about four years ago. Look and see if either are anywhere near you; it's worth the price!
Not a great picture but it's the only one we took that we were in!

We also visited The Spy Museum and ate at The Green Turtle. The hotel we stayed at was right on the edge of China Town, just like our recent stay in San Franciso. I don't think we really realized that DC had a Chinatown until this trip. Now we have visited Chinatown in Philidelphia, New York City, San Francisco and DC; pretty cool.

Tomorrow is back to school - the break has been nice!

  1. Haha, and you don't even have any kids from China. We've never been to any of the U.S. Chinatowns. Would love to go!
I'm so glad you two got to take a break=)
