OUR PLANS MULTIPLIED

In the beginning, JD adamantly only wanted two children. I thought that four would be perfect. Once we caught God's vision of putting orphans into families, our plan was multiplied by God. We are currently blessed with 12 children; five biological, six adopted and one more waiting in Ethiopia. Our first adoption was from the U.S., the next three were from Liberia, West Africa, and our last two were from Ethiopia. We are supporting our 12th child in Ethiopia after her adoption could not pass court.

Ethiopia Day Two

We had a wonderful first day in Ethiopia. We arrived very late Wednesday night; after going through visa lines, money exchange lines and customs, we went to bed far into the night. We repacked and headed to Nazareth, or Adama, on Thursday morning. We were able to spend the afternoon with Brooke and the kids at her orphanage. She is a tidy girl and showed us her bed made and her little cabinet of belongings. She had our family pictures posted to see every time she opens it. I think we made some advances in her case being able to speak to the director is person. I understand more and more the complications due to laws that are intended for good but leave huge gaps for true 100 percent orphans like Brooke.

I plan on another post tonight with a few pictures, but must head out now!

Look at this picture that the orphanage director found to show me - Bella as a baby!
