OUR PLANS MULTIPLIED

In the beginning, JD adamantly only wanted two children. I thought that four would be perfect. Once we caught God's vision of putting orphans into families, our plan was multiplied by God. We are currently blessed with 12 children; five biological, six adopted and one more waiting in Ethiopia. Our first adoption was from the U.S., the next three were from Liberia, West Africa, and our last two were from Ethiopia. We are supporting our 12th child in Ethiopia after her adoption could not pass court.

Getting Ready

The really good news is that Aunt Deb is home! Gabriel had to make an airport run at 3:00 a.m. and find her at the airport without calling her since she had her phone stolen in Peru, but we are all so happy to have her home. She is home just in time to house-sit (with Alei) while we go on our trip to NJ and NY.

There has been a lot of hair attention the last few days. On Monday, I spent several hours corn-rowing Tori's hair. I usually do them twice as big, but I wanted it to stay neat for the whole trip, so I went smaller.

Check out Tori's big front teeth that are on the way in.

On Tuesday, it was Julia hair day. I spent a few hours taking it out and couldn't stand it anymore, so called in back-up. Her hair looks darling (thanks to local talent I know) and I'll show it off in pictures the next few days.

Tomorrow is my only day to pack and load the new vacation trailer, so I'll be plenty busy. Of course, I have some other last minute things to attend to, like cut James and Ben's hair, grocery shop, make "while I'm gone lists for Alei," re-schedule doctor appointments....uh, if I want to get it all done, I should start tomorrow's list tonight!
