OUR PLANS MULTIPLIED

In the beginning, JD adamantly only wanted two children. I thought that four would be perfect. Once we caught God's vision of putting orphans into families, our plan was multiplied by God. We are currently blessed with 12 children; five biological, six adopted and one more waiting in Ethiopia. Our first adoption was from the U.S., the next three were from Liberia, West Africa, and our last two were from Ethiopia. We are supporting our 12th child in Ethiopia after her adoption could not pass court.

One More Ring Bear Story

Most people know that Elijah is anticipating his role as "ring bear" in Saturday's wedding up North. He has told us a few times that "he is going to scratch the flower girl while he is being a bear, because that's what bears do." I told him that the flower girl is going to be his new friend and he needs to be very nice to her. He quickly changed his tune and said, "can we keep her Mom? Can we bring her home from the wedding and keep her?"

Here he is demonstrating how to put out a fire with the cool fire-man set he got for sitting so nicely for a hair-cut yesterday. That was his first "real" hair-cut from the "hair-cut store" instead of his momma on the kitchen counter.
