OUR PLANS MULTIPLIED

In the beginning, JD adamantly only wanted two children. I thought that four would be perfect. Once we caught God's vision of putting orphans into families, our plan was multiplied by God. We are currently blessed with 12 children; five biological, six adopted and one more waiting in Ethiopia. Our first adoption was from the U.S., the next three were from Liberia, West Africa, and our last two were from Ethiopia. We are supporting our 12th child in Ethiopia after her adoption could not pass court.

March Snow

Just for the record, I do NOT appreciate snow in March; I much prefer spring like conditions. It was a yucky snow, mixed with rain, and very windy. The kids just couldn't get past the idea that it would be fun, so I had to break into my "already clean and packed away winter clothes." I only got this snap of Elijah and Bella heading out the door.

Here's the view out the back door, wet and yuck. Tomorrow is supposed to be 43 degrees, so it will all go away. I'm ready for spring!

  1. Ugh. It even happened here in AL. We had flurries one day last week. Within a week before, and after, we got sunburned faces playing outside in the high 60's. It is only the 2nd time I remember in my life when we got snow in March....probably happened a few times though.

  2. We are usually ready for spring by March, but this year we never got winter. Seriously. We got a lot of grey and rain, but only two very light dustings of snow. So sad. We are actually hoping for some March snow (although our high school track runner is definitely ready for spring).
