OUR PLANS MULTIPLIED

In the beginning, JD adamantly only wanted two children. I thought that four would be perfect. Once we caught God's vision of putting orphans into families, our plan was multiplied by God. We are currently blessed with 12 children; five biological, six adopted and one more waiting in Ethiopia. Our first adoption was from the U.S., the next three were from Liberia, West Africa, and our last two were from Ethiopia. We are supporting our 12th child in Ethiopia after her adoption could not pass court.

New Technology

One of the "luxuries" we spent tax refund money on is new lap-tops for Gabriel and Alei. It really was necessary since they are both doing college and their computers continually did not work right. A nice perk of Alei's new lap-top is a built in web-cam that enables us to Skype Gabriel. Elijah was especially thrilled with the arrangement!

At one point, the man that Gabriel lives with popped on to say hi. Elijah decided, for whatever reason, that he was scary and kept yelling, "me no like Scott, Scott scary." Even Scott's wife was unable to convince Elijah otherwise.

I'm on my own this weekend since JD is on the church men's retreat. I also let Moriah and Alyssa have friends over, which would not be a big deal other than Julia spends the entire time whining that she wants to be with Moriah's friend also. When she is with them, she bumps it up to demanding that they do whatever thing she wants at the moment. I'm thinking we aren't going to coordinate the friends the same weekend as JD being gone again for a while!
