OUR PLANS MULTIPLIED

In the beginning, JD adamantly only wanted two children. I thought that four would be perfect. Once we caught God's vision of putting orphans into families, our plan was multiplied by God. We are currently blessed with 12 children; five biological, six adopted and one more waiting in Ethiopia. Our first adoption was from the U.S., the next three were from Liberia, West Africa, and our last two were from Ethiopia. We are supporting our 12th child in Ethiopia after her adoption could not pass court.

Feeling Like the Duggars

You know you qualify as a big family when there is zero cargo room in your big van once you put your kids in. The last few trips, we were packed so tight that I think we appeared as refugees fleeing our home land. Whenever we would open the side doors at a rest stop, shoes, food and toys routinely rolled out. Well, no more - today we welcomed home the "vacation trailer." Now we will actually have somewhere to put luggage, boogie boards and a cooler, other than our laps, when we head on our trip next month.

  1. Hmmm... That's where we're headed next, I suppose. We really haven't traveled with all the littles yet but if we do that's what we'd need.

  3. We have to do this too. We call our enclosed trailer the trunk (like the trunk of a car). I don't know what we'd do without it when traveling or camping. Sometimes even for shopping.

  4. Ohhhh, I want one! LOL
We are having the same thing happen to us when we travel...it’s like a small explosion when we stop for gas or potty breaks and open up the side doors on the van.
