OUR PLANS MULTIPLIED

In the beginning, JD adamantly only wanted two children. I thought that four would be perfect. Once we caught God's vision of putting orphans into families, our plan was multiplied by God. We are currently blessed with 12 children; five biological, six adopted and one more waiting in Ethiopia. Our first adoption was from the U.S., the next three were from Liberia, West Africa, and our last two were from Ethiopia. We are supporting our 12th child in Ethiopia after her adoption could not pass court.

Packing and Hair

We are packing and preparing for our long trip home. Our check in time is 11 p.m. tonight in Addis and we land in Istanbul in the morning (Saturday); we leave Istanbul in the afternoon and fly approximately 15 hours to land in D.C. around 7:30 on Saturday night. I am wishing that there was a designated person to take pictures when we first land and the children all meet, but I wasn't that organized.

Bella is still desperately hanging on Alei. I tried to take her to the potty and she had a major melt-down. I am hoping that once we are on the way, she will give some of us a turn to hold her. Poor Alei has been full-time holder for the last two days.

Here's Selah and her wild hair -

And Bella mid-process -

Next post will be Istanbul or America!
