OUR PLANS MULTIPLIED

In the beginning, JD adamantly only wanted two children. I thought that four would be perfect. Once we caught God's vision of putting orphans into families, our plan was multiplied by God. We are currently blessed with 12 children; five biological, six adopted and one more waiting in Ethiopia. Our first adoption was from the U.S., the next three were from Liberia, West Africa, and our last two were from Ethiopia. We are supporting our 12th child in Ethiopia after her adoption could not pass court.

Packing

I'm packing!

  1. Jenny--Don't you wish!!! What are the boxes next to your suitcase that (are not cute like your cargo) you ARE taking? I have been trying to think of food for us to take that will actually make a nutritional dent. If you see this before you go I will be shocked! Also, we got some of our immunizations today and wanted to see what you all did about those. Email if you can. --Elaine

  2. Hee hee! Just send him to Texas. He can hang out w/ me while you're gone. :)

You're going to just miss getting to meet Lori & her crew. She's coming home on Tuesday, so probably leaving Monday sometime...not sure of the exact travel plans.

  3. I get there Sunday morning. Do you know where she is staying? Has she been there a month already?

  4. Oops...just saw your reply. Check her blog. It might say the name of the place...I can't recall. And yep...they left the last day or so of April & have been there the entire month of May. They are supposed to be in Dallas (coming home) at about 2-something Tuesday, so I assume that puts her leaving Ethiopia on Monday.

  5. Just "spoke" with Lori on Facebook. She says there is a good chance y'all will see each other. If you do, you will get to meet her new sweeties before I do! How funny...such a small world!
