OUR PLANS MULTIPLIED

In the beginning, JD adamantly only wanted two children. I thought that four would be perfect. Once we caught God's vision of putting orphans into families, our plan was multiplied by God. We are currently blessed with 12 children; five biological, six adopted and one more waiting in Ethiopia. Our first adoption was from the U.S., the next three were from Liberia, West Africa, and our last two were from Ethiopia. We are supporting our 12th child in Ethiopia after her adoption could not pass court.

Ben's Birthday

We once again have two 12 year olds in the house; Ben joined James in the rank for the next six month. We aren't sure if Brooke is 12 or 13 at this point, so we may have three children the same age part of the year. Alyssa is 13, so there isn't much wiggle room in this age range either way. Won't it be fun when it's time for the four of them to learn to drive?

Since I agonized over Ben's gift for too long, it didn't arrive in time for his birthday. You can tell by Tori's face that the picture of it was a complete surprise.

Now you can tell by Ben's face that he is pretty thrilled with it.

We had cheese cake as his cake choice.

We also had a "Chipotle" buffet. I wanted to try it for a while and it was definitely a huge hit. Thankfully, there's still leftovers!
