OUR PLANS MULTIPLIED

In the beginning, JD adamantly only wanted two children. I thought that four would be perfect. Once we caught God's vision of putting orphans into families, our plan was multiplied by God. We are currently blessed with 12 children; five biological, six adopted and one more waiting in Ethiopia. Our first adoption was from the U.S., the next three were from Liberia, West Africa, and our last two were from Ethiopia. We are supporting our 12th child in Ethiopia after her adoption could not pass court.

Hurricane

We are one of the fortunate few that actually has power after the hurricane. In fact, all three of our rental properties are out, but we only lost it for a few hours in the night. JD won't be going to work all week either; there is a major line that came down into the water and the power company has already announced that it won't be up all week since it's a special order item.

I feel very fortunate in light of the fact that we entered the storm without a generator to run our well, so, no power also means no water for us. When we got home from our vacation, our generator wouldn't start. While JD worked on it, he broke a part that has to be ordered. He actually went out and bought another generator that was supposed to come in the day the storm hit and it still isn't here. So, I'm very thankful.

I'm still on the go, yesterday we were gone all day for Deb's birthday party and today I'm heading to Richmond to pick Moriah up from a friend. Then I'm planning on staying home; I have school planning to do!
